Blakpig is an international collective of seasoned musicians playing original Rock music in a variety of styles. The name celebrates the monstrous, magical Black Pig of Irish legend and folklore, who raged across the countryside tearing great ditches and banks across the land. Traces of this may still be found in places today. The project began in 2012 and is based in rural Ireland.

A Blakpig album is currently in preparation for release later in 2021, featuring a dozen players of all ages from eight countries, coming from diverse (and seemingly unlikely) backgrounds. We play for love and fun, and look forward to sharing good times with you on tour soon.
